First hour: Bob Duffy
Second hour: Sam Schwartz on the future of transportation
Bob Duffy, the CEO of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, joins us in studio to mark his first full year in the role. Duffy and his colleagues will talk about their legislative preferences for the New York State legislature, and we'll talk about current topics of interest. In studio:
- Bob Duffy, Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce CEO
- Susan George, Rochester Chamber of Commerce events director
- Chris Wiest, Rochester Chamber of Commerce vice president of public policy and advocacy
In our second hour: Sam Schwartz is probably the leading expert on traffic in the country, and he happens to be the guy who coined the term "gridlock." Schwartz has a new book out that attempts to move the discussion of traffic, cars, and multi-modal approaches into the future. He'll be in Rochester for a Wednesday night event, but first he's our guest on Connections. In studio:
- Sam Schwartz, author of Street Smart: The Rise of Cities and the Fall of Cars
- Mike Governale, president of Reconnect Rochester
- Erik Frisch, transportation specialist with the City of Rochester
