One of the fledgling Peregrine Falcons, injured recently after a collision with a building, has had to be euthanized. That according to the website rfalconcam.com, which keeps track of the falcons in Rochester.
They say the bird, named "Bronx,' had various problems related to an injury to its spinal cord. The falcon had been found lethargic, in a well on the roof of the Times Square Building in downtown Rochester this week, and was retrieved by DEC staff and taken to a wildlife rehabilitator.
June Summers of the Genesee Valley Audubon Society says they are said to have lost Bronx, but need to keep in mind there are still two more young falcons to watch over and enjoy and she says Rochester should be proud that it has added a number of young falcons to the current Peregrine population.
