Jazz Fest Co-Producer Marc Iacona announces headlining acts and new venues.

Organizers have announced the entire Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival lineup.

Steve Gadd Band is the last headliner to be announced, playing with a surprise special guest at Eastman Theater.

New Orleans' Troy Andrews, aka Trombone Shorty, and his band also join the ranks, closing the festival with a free outdoor show on the last Saturday.

Marc Iacona is the festival's co-producer. He says they've also added one last headliner show at Eastman.

"Usually there's nothing going on that last Saturday, so that's new and that's exciting -- probably by popular demand that we did that."

The jazz fest is also using two new venues this year: the Squeezers Roots & Americana Stage at the Sibley Building, and the Theater at 440 East in the First Church of Christ, Scientist.

Iacona says because of the construction on the Inner Loop, they've moved the open air stage on East Avenue and Alexander Street to East and Chestnut. Rochester Regional Health System Big Tent 6PM shows are free this year, and the event is releasing an official iPhone and Android app in May.

Iacona says, among many things, this event is an opportunity to inspire all the local talent in Rochester.

"If this festival gives one individual the capacity to say 'I can go and do this' by seeing other musicians that come from around the world to play, that's what's important. Artistically, I think if we're bringing that and other organizations and events keep bringing that artistically, that puts us on the map."

The 2015 Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival is June 19-27. Check out all the artists and concerts here.
