Richard Gere to Accept Award Here in Rochester

George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film will bring Richard Gere to Rochester in February.

Gere will be honored with the George Eastman Award for his contributions to the art of film as well as his humanitarian work to promote health and education in Tibet.

The George Eastman Award was established in 1955 as the first retrospective film award to honor artistic work of enduring value.  In accepting it, Gere will join the ranks of film legends such as Jimmy Stewart, Audrey Hepburn, and Meryl Streep.
