The Rochester Area Community Foundation is offering a webinar to help people and organizations affected by the pandemic better understand the CARES Act.

This hour, we’re joined by experts who will be leading to webinar. They discuss how organizations can access the federally-backed forgivable loans available through the program and how they work. They also answer listener questions about individual and small business relief. Our guests:

There are more than 1.5 million charitable organizations in the United States. Thousands are formed each year. So how is a small organization, formed in Rochester and focused on helping kids in Kenya, going to survive?

We sit down with the ambitious Daphne Pariser, who believes she has the unusual formula for launching an international effort and making it thrive. Humans for Education is growing, and is aiming to build a healthcare clinic that can serve 2,000 Kenyan families. We talk about how she's trying to get it done.

This annual program offers a wide-ranging look at what local organizations need to help make the holidays special for thousands of kids in poverty, women in crisis, and families in need.

Our guests explain what you can do to help, whether it's offering time, gifts, or other resources. We even hear from four-and-a-half-year-old Rhys Dawson, who also wanted to know how he could help.

What do you prefer your child to listen to? Is there something your kid loves to listen to? Maybe they love to listen to Vincent Nunes, who has a new album out. He's with us for the first part of the show to talk about music for children.

Then, how does the Non-Profit Revitalization Act of 2013 affect us? Probably more than we realize. Here to tell us how is Sean Patton of Westminster Consulting, and Joe Casion of Harter Seacrest & Emery LLP.
