A recently retired local college president already has a new job. Daan Braveman, who led Nazareth College for 15 years before stepping down in June recently joined the law firm of Harter Secrest & Emery to provide consulting services for their Higher Education practice.

After 15 years, Nazareth College President Daan Braveman officially stepped down Tuesday. The Rochester native announced his retirement last year.

Nazareth College named a new president Monday. Elizabeth Paul will take office in July. She takes over for Daan Braveman who has held the post for the last fifteen years. 

Braveman, who is retiring, said the choice is a wise decision for the school and for Paul. He welcomed her by reciting the lyrics from the song The Weight by The Band.
