How do we protect Black moms from Monroe County's high mortality rate?

In Monroe County, for expecting Black mothers, there is about one maternal death per every four thousand births. That number is higher than the state average, it’s higher than the national average, and it's about 3 to 4 times the rate of mortality in white moms. Local women give their perspective on their pregnancies, which were not what they expected.

Plus: one student group is diversifying the rivers and trails one outdoor adventure at a time.
