The YMCA of Greater Rochester says that at the direction of the Monroe County Department of Public Health and the County Executive, and in the interest of public health, it will suspend operations at all locations until further notice effective Sunday, March 15.
Day care will continue in the YMCA’s five already established locations and emergency school age care will be provided at YMCA facilities.
A statement from the YMCA released Saturday said that it is working with state and local officials to create a safe, effective plan to serve as many children in the community as possible.
