One of the two patients with COVID-19 at the Wyoming County Community Health System skilled nursing home has died.
The health system released the information in a statement, with CEO Joseph McTernan saying, “Our deepest condolences go out to the family of the resident. As we grieve, the safety of our residents, patients, staff and the community remains our focus.”
The patient had been in isolation since testing positive for COVID-19, the health system said.
It also stated that safety precautions have been put in place at the skilled nursing facility, including temperature screenings for all staff coming into the facility, restricting visitors, and having staff members using personal protective equipment.
