The Winter Weather Advisory for the Rochester area has been canceled. The National Weather Service made that decision late Monday morning. The earlier Winter Storm Warning was canceled over night.
About 3 to 5 inches of snow fell Sunday night, and Monday brought another inch or so of accumulation.
There was some freezing drizzle mixed in with the precipitation early Monday morning as well.
There were a number of accidents around the area early Monday morning, mostly fender-benders.
There were three accidents on Rochester's Inner Loop Sunday night between St. Paul Boulevard and State St.
One of the accidents involved an officer driving a marked patrol car. He was treated and released from Highland Hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The high temperature on Monday will be around 32, below normal for this time of year.
Temperatures mid-week should rise into the mid-40s, but then cool off a bit after that.
