Two local companies are expanding and adding jobs.
According to Empire State Development, one of them is ComTec Solutions, a technology service provider in Gates. It will expand at that location, creating up to 24 new jobs over the next five years. ComTec also has operations in Connecticut, and it provides services such as cloud backup and disaster recovery.
The state is providing up to $300,000 through the Excelsior Jobs Program in exchange for job creation commitments. The total project cost is more than $2.2 million. Monroe County and Greater Rochester Enterprise are also providing support.
The other company is Sessler Environmental Services which specializes in decontamination, demolition work and disaster relief, as well as other services. That company is moving from Monroe County to the Town of Macedon in Wayne County where it will create up to 32 jobs over the next five years.
Empire State Development will help with a $250,000 capital grant toward the $2.2 million project. Wayne County and Greater Rochester Enterprise are also assisting with the project.
