Time names Comedy Center in Jamestown one of 'World's Greatest Places'

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (AP)  The National Comedy Center in western New York is on Time Magazine's annual list of must-see destinations.

Time's 2019 list of the "World's 100 Greatest Places"includes the center in Jamestown as one of nine sites to visit in the United States. The list is in the magazine's September 2 edition.

Other U.S. locations include Hearst Castle in California, the Shed arts center in New York City and Newseum in Washington, D.C.

Time notes that the Comedy Center's artifacts include Joan Rivers' stand-up notes, the Seinfeld "puffy shirt" and a George Carlin archive.

The annual Time list recognizes destinations that are breaking new ground, leading industry trends and offering guests a unique experience.
