The NYS Department of Transportation announced Saturday that the overpass carrying Route 104 eastbound at the Route 590 interchange in Monroe County is now open to traffic following approximately one month of preventative maintenance work on the bridge that included concrete deck repairs and bridge joint replacement.
The DOT says that although substantial work is complete and the bridge is open to traffic, it is expected the bridge will require several short-term overnight closures in the coming weeks to finish the repairs.
Those closures have not been scheduled, and the DOT will advise the public when they anticipate the work to take place.
Officials say that drivers should continue to follow any posted lane adjustments while work continues.
