ROC's Fringe Festival: The Back-Story & The Hunt For Performers

http://youtu.be/Sa9cmAZYKeU

Imagine getting 10 days straight to visit more than two dozen venues in Rochester, many staples in the community, where you get to see and hear everything from aerial artists, spoken word poets to dance collaborations of every genre imaginable and much more. This “smorgasbord of original entertainment” as it’s often dubbed, is all part of the First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival.

On this Need to Know segment, we learn the meaning of these internationally celebrated fringe festivals as local Fringe leaders call on area artists and performers to submit an application now for the fall event. This segment includes: Erica Fee (Producer of the First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival), Darren Stevenson (Co-Founder and Co-Creative Director of PUSH Physical Theatre & also a board member for the Fringe), and Alexa Scott-Flaherty (Development Director of Writers and Books – a Fringe venue).
