There’s a report that Rochester City School Superintendent Lesli Myers-Small allegedly sexually harassed another district employee.
The Democrat & Chronicle first reported the allegation, saying that the school board held an emergency board meeting Thursday night and decided to hire outside legal counsel to investigate the allegation.
The D&C quotes sources who said the allegations relate to an incident that took place at a district event in early August.
School Board President Van White told WXXI News, “I can confirm that the Board of Education has retained an outside firm to investigate a complaint of harassment which was filed against Superintendent Myers-Small. We intend on waiting for that investigation to complete before we comment any further.”
White did not provide any other details on the nature of the allegations and there was no immediate comment issued by the school district administration.
Myers-Small has been superintendent of the RCSD since May 2020. She led the Brockport School District for several years and worked as an assistant commissioner for the New York State Education Department.
