The Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival is over, and the nine day event set another attendance record.
Organizers say even with the rain that dampened attendance on Friday, the 40,000 or so festival goers on Saturday night helped push attendance overall to around 195,000. That beat’s last year’s record breaking attendance of 187,000.
A big reason for the huge crowd Saturday was a crowd favorite at this festival, Trombone Shorty, the New Orleans’ musician who always draws a packed audience to his outdoor performance at East Ave. and Alexander St.
You can see photos and video from the festival at a special section on our website.
