The Rochester City School District has named a new Deputy Superintendent.
Lynda Quick will take the job as of January 21, and will oversee all aspects of teaching and learning, administration, and operations for the RCSD.
Quick currently serves as the Superintendent of the Skaneateles Central School District. Prior to her current role as Superintendent in Skaneateles, Quick served as the District Superintendent of the Cattaraugus-Allegany-Erie-Wyoming BOCES in Olean for 5 years, and prior to that time, served in other roles in that district.
The appointment by Supt. Terry Dade comes about a week after he announced that two Deputy Superintendents, Cecilia Griffen Golden and Elizabeth Mascitti-Miller were being let go.
A statement released on Thursday says that the consolidation to one Deputy Superintendent continues the process of restructuring and “right-sizing the District as it begins its blueprint for financial stability, while maintaining the high-quality education provided to its students.”
