Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo has announced an appointment to the number two spot in the county's department of planning and economic development.
Mark Geise was named to be deputy director in that department. He comes from a similar position in Chautauqua County.
Earlier this month, Dinolfo appointed Jeff Adair to the top position in planning and economic development. Adair is a former president of the county legislature and also a businessman.
Dinolfo says Geise’s accomplishments include working on a comprehensive plan for Chautauqua County which led to the development of an equestrian trail, a greenway plan and a watershed management plan.
He is also executive director of the Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation.
