Southwest Airlines is adding some non-stop flights from Rochester to key Florida destinations this coming winter.
According to Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo, the airline’s winter schedule from January 6 – March 6, 2020 includes new, seasonal non-stop flights to Ft. Lauderdale on select Saturdays.
The airline also will continue seasonal, non-stop service on select Saturdays to Ft. Myers for January and February.
Dinolfo says the Rochester to Ft. Myers seasonal, non-stop flights have been expanded to eight select Saturdays, five more select Saturday flights compared to last year.
Southwest will be using its 737-700 aircraft for the new non-stop service to Ft. Myers and Ft. Lauderdale. Dinolfo says, in total, there will be over 2,200 more non-stop seats this winter for traveling to these two Florida markets.
