Man Accused Of Shoving Autistic Teen Turns Himself In To RPD

Rochester Police say that the Pittsford man facing a harassment charge turned himself in on Thursday, coming to police headquarters with his attorney.

57 year old Martin MacDonald is facing the 2nd degree harassment charge after an incident last month when MacDonald allegedly shoved an autistic, non-verbal teenager to the ground at Cobb’s Hill Park.

15 year old Chase Coleman of Syracuse was running in a cross country meet in that area when the altercation happened.

There has since been national attention about the incident, which took weeks to result in a charge being filed. MacDonald will be arraigned on Friday on the charge.
