A manufacturing company with operations in Gates is expanding, and adding nearly 60 jobs.
Empire State Development officials say that a high-tech company called Rotork, is adding to its current space on Mile Crossing Boulevard and will add up to 56 new jobs over the next five years.
The state is investing up to $550,000 toward the $10 million project in exchange for job creation commitments. Monroe County also provided incentives.
Rotork is headquartered in the UK, and it has had operations in the Finger Lakes for more than 50 years. It makes industrial flow control equipment for gases or liquids.
Rotork's clients operate in the oil and gas, power generation, water and sewage and marine industries, among others.
