Jazz fest announces two more headliners

Two more headliners were announced on Tuesday for this year’s CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival.

They include the group, Puss N Boots, which features Sasha Dobson, Norah Jones and Catherine Popper, who will perform on Friday, June 19.

The other headliner just announced is Wynonna & The Big Noise, which will perform Saturday, June 20.

Puss N Boots first formed in 2008 as a live band performing around Brooklyn, and producers of the jazz fest say the band became an outlet for Jones, Dobson and Popper to switch instruments and showcase a different side of themselves.

Country music singer Wyonna Judd performs with her band, The Big Noise, which is led by Judd’s husband, drummer/producer Cactus Moser.

Tickets for both shows go on sale February 28 at 10 a.m. at rochesterjazz.com or by calling 585-454-2060. All headliner shows are at 8pm in Kodak Hall at the Eastman Theatre.

The full lineup of jazz fest shows will be announced March 17.

The jazz festival’s 19th edition will be held June 19 to 27, featuring more than 325 shows and 1,750 artists.
