Irondequoit boat launch opens after high water problems

The public boat launch at the Irondequoit Bay Outlet in Sea Breeze has opened for the season.

That’s according to Town Supervisor Dave Seeley, who says that while much of the dock is still under water due to flooding, crews from the town’s public works department installed temporary elevated ramps this week to provide access to the launch dock.

He says that boaters should still observe the no-wake regulation in the bay and within 500 feet of the lake shore.

But Seeley says it is still hoped that boaters will take advantage of the closer access to the outlet and enjoy Lake Ontario.
