Last year's floods affected shoreline homes, including residences along Edgemere Drive in Greece.

The NYS Department of Financial Services will be providing assistance to Town of Greece homeowners who have insurance questions after the recent lakeshore flooding.

Town Supervisor Bill Reilich says an RV from the state will be at Greece Town Hall on Wednesday with trained professionals who will help residents navigate through insurance concerns.

Reilich says if you are a Greece resident whose property was damaged as a result of the increased lake levels and you’ve been unable to come to a satisfactory resolution with your insurance agency, you are invited to speak with the state experts.

Reilich says he spoke with Governor Cuomo  on Tuesday and he agreed to provide the assistance from the insurance experts.

The RV will be at the Town of Greece Department of Public Works on Long Pond Road on Wednesday from 10am to 8pm. Governor Cuomo says it will also be in Orleans County on Thursday and Niagara County on Friday.

Cuomo is also requesting help from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to help protect critical public facilities and infrastructure.
