Frontier Communications to cut 280 jobs in Henrietta

Frontier Communications

Frontier Communications is cutting hundreds of jobs in Henrietta. The company says it is reallocating work from a technical support center there to other Frontier resources and as a result, 280 non-union positions will be cut effective July 31.

In a statement, the company said that it makes decisions on the size of its workforce “to adapt to the realities of our competitive and ever-changing industry.”

Frontier says that it has met with the affected employees who are all eligible for severance and medical benefits.  The company says that it expects to remain a significant presence in the Rochester area.
