First hour: Discussing the Finger Lakes' place in the wine world
Second hour: How to help young adults with intellectual disabilities transition out of the school system
Up until this year, one of the biggest conferences on wine in the world was held on the west coast, but now, it’s moving to the Finger Lakes. Our guests will preview the first-ever FLXcursion and discuss the Finger Lakes’ place in the wine world:
- Oskar Bynke, co-chair of FLXcursion and co-owner of Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard
- Kelby Russell, co-chair of FLXcursion and winemaker for Red Newt Cellars and Empire Estate
- Dustin Wilson, master sommelier based in New York City
Then in our second hour, what do young adults with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers need to know as they prepare to exit the school system? It's a question that will be addressed at an upcoming conference hosted by Nazareth College and AutismUp. We'll be joined by organizers and participants to discuss medical care, housing, employment, and more. In studio:
- Rachel Rosner, director of education and support services for AutismUp
- Cyndi Kerber Gowan, lecturer in education at Nazareth College and faculty liaison for LifePrep@Naz
- Jake Collier, self-advocate
