Brighton's Kristen Wiig Gets Oscar Nomination

Brighton High School graduate Kristen Wiig has been nominated for an Oscar. Wiig was nominated for Best Original Screenplay along with co-writer Annie Mumolo for the movie "Bridesmaids." 

Wiig also starred in the movie and is best known for her work as a member of the cast of Saturday night Live.

In the Best Original Screenplay category Wiig and Mumolo are up against “Margin Call”, “Midnight in Paris”, “A Separation” and “The Artist.”

The Oscars will be held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, February 26.
