Brian Kolb re-elected as Assembly Minority Leader

http://assembly.state.ny.us

Assemblyman Brian Kolb has been unanimously re-elected as Assembly Minority Leader.

The Canandaigua Republican says that with a changing dynamic in the legislature, the role of Assembly Republicans has never been more critical.

Democrats now control all three branches of government, after taking majority control of the State Senate for the first time in eight years.

Kolb says the Assembly Republican Conference has worked to increase accountability and transparency in government, relieve burdens facing small business and look for solutions to infrastructure and transportation problems.

Kolb has been in the Assembly since 2000, and has served as Minority Leader since 2009, which he says makes him the longest-tenured legislative leader in Albany.
