When you hit the polls this election season, if you live in the City of Rochester, you’ll see an obvious void when scanning the ballot and reviewing the candidates in the Rochester School Board race. There are no Republicans running for Commissioner of Schools. Turns out, 2013 was the last time a Republican ran for the City School Board, and the time before that, was 2007. And, if you ask around, not many people know the last time a Republican served on the Rochester School Board.
