Brighton Police say they are investigating the report of a sexual assault at the MCC campus.
Police say that the college’s department of public safety got a report of an alleged assault that happened in a residence hall.
Although an alert from the campus that was sent out earlier Sunday indicated the alleged perpetrator is not in custody, Brighton Police emphasized that there is no threat to the campus community in connection with the reported sexual assault.
Police say they have identified the parties involved and are investigating the circumstances of the reported assault.
The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, MCC Public Safety and the New York State Police are also involved in the investigation.
