Man Charged With Firing Gun At Police In Nunda

Some tense moments for police in the Livingston County community of Nunda on Saturday night.

Authorities say it began as a 911-hang-up call. When Sgt. Tim Bryant and Officer Brittney Eldridge responded to the scene, they say they were fired on from through the door of a house on Rochford Road.

Police say say it was a shotgun slug, and the officers say they were able to pull away from the home while multiple additional shots were fired.

Officers took 39 year old John Pribble into custody without incident, and charged with with reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon, all felony charges.

Authorities believe the incident was drug related. Pribble was ordered held on bail.
