The now two-week-old search for two escaped killers has expanded once again - this time to an area in Franklin County.
County prosecutors say a person was seen fleeing from a hunting camp near the hamlet of Mountain View, with much of the area part of the Adirondack Park.
Authorities had been searching an area in the Southern Tier for escaped killers David Sweat and Richard Matt.
The search in Allegany and Steuben counties came after a woman reported seeing two men near a rail line, with authorities saying their focus in the search remains the area near the prison at Dannemora.
Reporter John Anderson covered that manhunt over the weekend for the Wellsville Daily Reporter.
