Rochester Gas and Electric has been dealing with a power outage in the Village of Pittsford on Friday. Initially, just over 400 customers were affected, mainly in the Monroe Avenue area.
The outage first happened at about 11:00 a.m., and half of the customers were restored by Noon. The rest were back on line by 5:00 p.m. The outage was caused by a problem with an underground cable.
Officials with Wegmans and Pittsford Plaza tell us their operations have not been affected by the outage.
Sheriff's deputies ask that drivers treat any traffic lights that are out as a four way stop.
