Greece Man Charged In Toddler's Death

Greece Police have charged a man from that town in the death of a toddler. On Tuesday night, police charged 23 year old Cory Favata with Murder in the 2nd degree, depraved indifference, in connection with the death of 17 month old Rileigh Daniels.

Depraved indifference refers to a defendant’s indifference to, or disregard of risks associated with their conduct. Favata pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday night.

Favata is the boyfriend of the child’s biological mother. Police said Rileigh's mother came home from work around on the night of April 21st and  found the toddler having some sort of medical issue. Police were called right away, and the toddler was rushed to Strong Hospital.

Rileigh died in the hospital three days later. Favata is being held without bail.
