Here is a statement on storm-related plans for the University of Rochester including the Eastman School:
Today’s blizzard and road conditions may necessitate a personal safety decision regarding travel to and from the University.
Based on a supervisor’s discretion, non-essential University employees may be released from work early today to allow for safe travels home.
Essential employees should report to work unless otherwise notified. Most Medical Center employees—whether at Elmwood Avenue or any off-site location—are considered essential staff and are required to report even during severe weather. If you are unable to report to work or unsure of your status, you must contact your supervisor.
Graduate students should check for email or Blackboard announcements about classes today and this evening. Final exams scheduled for today for Simon School students have been postponed and will not be held today.
RPO concerts at the Eastman School today have been cancelled, and the Eastman Community Music School and New Horizons programs have also been cancelled.
The Memorial Art Gallery will be closed for the day beginning at noon.
All essential services, including University shuttle service, will continue according to the Spring Break schedules. It’s a good idea to call ahead to locations for possible changes to operating status.
