Humane Society Holds Forum on Animal Cruelty Investigations

www.lollypop.org

Several recent cases of animal abuse have led to questions from community members about how those cases are investigated.

Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, is responding with a community forum tonight.

Humane Society president and CEO Alice Calabrese says law enforcement officers and a representative from the Monroe County District Attorney's office will answer questions about how animal cruelty cases are investigated and how state statutes apply to those cases.

Calabrese says officials can't disclose specifics about ongoing investigations, but hope to shed light on the process in general.

The meeting is at 6:30 tonight at the Training and Education Center at Lollypop Farm on Victor Road in Fairport.
