Rochester is hosting the annual marketing meetings for the AHL this week.
David Andrews, League President and CEO, says the meetings bring people from the business side of the sport with league executives and industry experts to discuss best practices and innovative ideas.
Andrews says the league has to move ahead into the 21st century, when it comes to marketing, and among Twitter, Facebook, and its website, the American Hockey League has millions of unique users each year.
He says the league's new digital media group, made up of younger people, is helping bring the league's social media presence to a new level.
