Rochester And Its Firefighters Reach Contract Agreement

The City of Rochester has reached agreement on a new contract with the firefighters union.

Mayor Lovely Warren signed off on the contract this week which is retroactive to July of 2013 and runs through June of next year.

It calls for a retroactive wage hike of 3 percent in 2013, a 2 percent increase in 2014 and a 3 percent increase this year.

The agreement also has a provision which provides for more firefighter coverage during peak business hours.
