Work on 390 Improvements Underway

aaroads.com

Governor Cuomo says work is underway on two projects totaling 23-million dollars for Route 390 in the Rochester area.

The work involves improvements to Exit 16 in Rochester, designed to improve traffic flow and access to the University of Rochester.

Among other things, the work includes construction of the existing off-ramp from 390 South to East River Road, a new roundabout at Kendrick Road, a new entrance ramp to 390 south from East River Road, and a new auxiliary lane at the 390-590 interchange.

Contracts for the construction projects are part of the New York Works program, and are expected to create over 100 jobs.

The work is expected to be completed by next winter. The New York State Department of Transportation has a website detailing the construction work.
