As the 2012 campaign season is well underway, some candidates running for public office are signing pledges to keep their campaigns fair and honest.
On Wednesday, the League of Women Voters and the Interfaith Alliance of Rochester held a ceremony for its annual Fair Election Practices Campaign at the Monroe County Office Building. Georgia DeGregorio is the president of the League of Women Voters.
"The politicians, I think, realize that they need to put their name on the line that says we are running fair, honesty, accurate campaign," says DeGregorio. "And that they will standby there ads."
So far, a dozen candidates have signed the pledge.
