If you've ever thought about becoming an emergency medical technician, here's your chance.

The Rochester Education Opportunity Center and Rural Metro Medical Services are offering tuition-free EMT training for  through a program at the college at Brockport.

Rural Metro spokesperson LeShay Harris says it's a six month certificate program. “They’ll learn how to do CPR, airway management, the basic level of patient assessment. They’ll learn how to deal with trauma in medical situations at the very basic level.”

Harris says applications are being accepted now for September enrollment.  Applicants must pass an entry exam, and have a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or G.E.D.
