Allegiant Air Adds Orlando Service To Rochester

Allegiant Air, the low cost carrier that recently announced it would provide service between Rochester and Ft. Lauderdale starting in October, is adding service to another Florida city.

Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks says Allegiant will offer service to the Orlando Sanford International Airport beginning November 13th.  Brooks says Orlando is the most popular destination for Rochester area travelers, and she says the additional non-stop service will mean more seats and affordable options for local passengers.

Orlando is also served by a larger airport, Orlando International.

Allegiant plans to use an MD-80 or Airbus A320 jet on the new Orlando flights, which will happen twice a week. That will make another 340 seats available to that Florida city.
