POUGHKEEPSIE (AP) Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand plans to visit a job training center in western New York.
The Democrat is scheduled to tour the Iroquois Job Corps Center in Medina, Orleans County, Monday morning.
The center provides free, federally funded educational and career training programs for vulnerable teens and young adults.
Later in the day, Gillibrand will travel to Poughkeepsie to join U.S. Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney on a tour of an energy-efficient home recently renovated by students from the local Youthbuild program.
Youthbuild is a federally supported program that provides construction, carpentry and other job training to low-income youth around the country.
