Kodak has announced a new organizational structure that involves establishing five business divisions: Print Systems; Enterprise injket; Micro 3D Printing and Packaging; Software and Solutions and Consumer and Film.
CEO Jeff Clarke says the idea behind the changes it to make the company faster-moving, more competitive and more entrepreneurial.
Print Systems will be led by Brad Kruchten; Enterprise Inkjet will be headed up by Philip Cullimore (who will also lead Micro 3D Printing and Packaging on an interim basis); Software and Solutions will be led by Eric-Yves Mahe; and Consumer and Film will be led by Steven Overman. Overman is also Kodak's Chief Marketing Officer.
Kodak is combining its current four regional sales organizations into two, with one covering Europe, the U.S. and Canada, Australia and New Zealand and the other covering Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
The new divisions and shuffling around of executives keeps most of the same people with the company. One executive, Doug Edwards, President of Digital Printing & Enterprise, decided not to stay with Kodak after he was offered a different position.
A memo from Kodak CEO Jeff Clarke to employees does say that as the company eliminates duplication and complexity, there will be some reductions in the workforce. He says at the same time, Kodak will create some new jobs. Details on that are still being finalized.
