The Community Design Center of Rochester has named a new executive director to replace Joni Monroe who is retiring.
Board President Paul Tankel says that Maureen Duggan will fill that role. She is a former economic development director for Congresswoman Louise Slaughter, and previously was an economic development specialist in Ontario County.
Joni Monroe, who co-founded the CDCR and helped lead the organization for the last 12 years, announced last summer that she would be retiring.
Duggan says she loves being in an urban environment, and looks forward to helping the center expand its work.
