The Rochester Music Hall of Fame holds its third annual awards ceremony on Sunday night at the Eastman Theater. Those being inducted include the rock band Duke Jupiter as well as historical figures like David Hochstein and Emily Sibley Watson. The House of Guitars music store is also being inducted as is radio station WDKX.
Vice Chairman of the hall's board of directors, Jack Whittier, says every year they are really looking for a blend of different types of music.
"We do try to balance it out between active, performing musicians, historical, and then looking at classical, jazz, R&B, Rock 'n Roll. We don't want it to be a Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame, it's not designed that (way). It's really to honor all types of music."
Performers on Sunday also include two past inductees, Foreigner's Lou Gramm, and Gene Cornish of the Rascals. Both men grew up here. The ceremony on Sunday is at 7pm and tickets are still available.
