Frigid Cold & Lake Snow Throughout Upstate NY

As the lake effect snow bands shift around, some areas that have been dumped on in recent days will get even more snow, and other areas which have hard been touched, may start to see some accumulation.

The forecast for the immediate Rochester area calls for the possibility of a couple of inches of snow by Tuesday evening, with strong winds blowing that snow around, and a high on Tuesday near 32. More lake snow and temperatures in the teens are expected Tuesday night.

There is a lake snow warningfor Wyoming County, where several inches have already accumulated as well as the Buffalo region and Wayne County.

There's also a lake snow advisory for Genesee and Orleans Counties.

The forecast calls for cold weather and snow showers the rest of the weekend with a possible weekend storm that could bring heavier amounts of snow by the end of the weekend.
