Monroe Community College President Anne Kress appeared on 1370 Connection to discuss the recommendation to move MCC's downtown campus to space available near Kodak's world headquarters building.

Kress talked with WXXI's Bob Smith about the Board of Trustees's decision process and why the Kodak site on State Street was chosen over the Sibley building on Main Street. That choice goes against the wishes of Rochester Mayor Tom Richards who supports keeping MCC in a renovated Sibley building.

Rochester Business Alliance CEO Sandy Parker talked with WXXI 1370 Connection Host Bob Smith about the recently concluded New York State Economic Development grant process and how it impacted Rochester and the Finger Lakes Region.

Consumer Advocate Says Toy Safety Still an Issue

Your children could be at risk from some of the products you buy for them, according to local consumer watchdog Judy Braiman.

Rochester-based consumer advocate Braiman says products intended for children are still reaching the market with hazardous materials like heavy metals in toys and jewelry, or carcinogens in products ranging from shampoos to apparel. 

Rochester, NY – WXXI's Bob Smith interviewed author Laura Browder about research into the thousands of women who are going into combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.
