Two people die in a house fire in Naples

Spectrum News

Ontario County Deputies say that two people are dead, the result of a fire in the Town of Naples early Tuesday morning.

Deputies say the fire was at a house on County Road 36, and it was called in by a driver passing by. The house was engulfed in flames when authorities got there.

The house is owned by 94 year old Marian Fleischman. She rented a room in the house to 64 year old Michael Schenk.

Schenk’s body was found in the morning, and in the afternoon, deputies and fire investigators found Fleischman’s body in the basement where an area near her bedroom collapsed due to the fire.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
