Pittsford skier Morgan Schild advances in Olympic competition

Drew Broderick

Pittsford's Morgan Schild advanced to the women's moguls in the Winter Olympics on Thursday night.

The 20 year old came in third in her qualifying run in PyeongChang, South Korea.

Two other Americans, Jaelin Kauf and Keaton McCargo, placed 5th and 8th.

The finals take place on Sunday.

There was also a viewing party at Bristol Mountain Thursday night to watch the Olympics with members of the Bristol Mountain Freestyle Team there. That’s where Schild got her start as a young child.

Another Bristol skier, Jon Lillis is also competing in the Olympics.
